  • what kind of bassoon do you have its beautiful

  • @TheIBassoon this was played with a Heckel of the 10000 - series :-)

  • I have an old vinyl LP recording with Bernard Garfield playing this and the tempo sounds pretty much right on with what he does.

  • @pbj4toast: thanks :-) I also like the Garfield recording, it's perhaps the best of the old time bassoonists

  • Excellent bassoon playing, probably the best on youtube for this particular Mozart composition.

  • The horns screwed up a little here and there... SO WHAT? If these critics can play it so much better, let them get up on the stage and do it, or STFU. Just enjoy some beautiful music.

  • Amazing tone and beautifully played. Well done, Mr. Wayar.

  • @dahatmalindien: Ich weiß, dass Fagott das deutsche Wort für "bassoon" ist... ;-)

Herr Fagott plays the cadenza of Milan Turcovic which is a really good one, you are right.

  • come on horns

  • to everyone...its...CADENZA.

  • @mauriwayar there is some youtube user called mrfagott (fagott = german word for basson ) i like his cadenze more ;=)

  • @dahatmalindien

I also ask you for suggestions to improve the cadenza. I played Mozart again with orchestra some days ago and made some experiments around it, but didn't find something that really works better for it. For example if I put a minor region (you can do it at the trill section) it gets just too long for my taste of proportion. Which cadenzas do you like?
