Thanks for the upload. I live in weymouth, and I had almost forgot what the roads looked like before those terrible traffic lights ruined everything.
Now I seem to spend most of my time waiting at a red light, when i don't need to, getting angry, and honking at it all the time.

These are fab videos. Are you going to do more showing the new relief road and new traffic lights replacing the roundabouts. I know they'd be really popular. I've been trying to find some so my sister can see the Weymouth bypass, but there's nothing on U-tube showing the completed roads. My sis is in Oz, so she'd love to see the new updated Weymouth, as would past visitors I expect. I love the cheeky one-liners too. Keep up the good work

Thanks for your very kind comments. I took a video on the day the Relief Road opened, and I will be taking some more of the junctions "once things settle down" (if they ever do) - it's a bit depressing at present as I can't see journey times improving much.
I just haven't had time to put the updates on YouTube yet. Hope to soon.

Sad to see those rather pretty roundabouts in this lovely summertime film.
I have to admit, there really is something special about the quality of sunlight in Dorset - but of course I'm biased!
The new traffic signals will acheive their aim perfectly (of allowing a VIP convoy to transit through Weymouth without delay) and will almost certainly be left in place afterwards, contrary to the rumours circulated.
And what unlovely things they are. :(
Thanks for filming and posting!

@KrillLiberator; Yes we are lucky to live in one of the sunniest places in the UK.
The new signalised junctions will work, but two of them will not operate as smoothly under normal conditions as the roundabouts they replace. They are uneccessary. They will be a blot on the townscape, expensive to operate, and do nothing to improve safety. The international trend is away from traffic lights in favour of roundabouts.
Watch this space . . .
The new Relief Road will be brilliant though.

Hi,really great videos.I live in London and do not often get to Dorset and I can now enjoy a vicarious car ride with you.Good to see how things are changing. As a Dorset man I enjoy every second of the journey.
Are you the same guy who complied the History and picture books of old Weymouth and Portland ??? I have read them and they are extremely well done and written.
Best Wishes and do continue with the videos.
