I am retired and 57 and this movie got to me. I have a pretty frosty personality and it takes alot to get through. I have already done two big trips I would not have had it not been for this movie/story. Thankyou

i truly respect chris and he and i are a lot a like i spent 5 years hitchhiking canada and have spent 3 months in the wild aka no mans land ultimate freedom i made some travel videos check em out on my page

Macrobiotic philosophy teaches one to live as free like the wild birds, fish and other animals do in nature. To be as close to nature as possible in all aspects of life. Never to work or be attached to money. This is the one sure way of knowing the absolutes of freedom, happiness, health, justice and peace.
Even if it cannot be maintained indefinitely, it should be tried for a period of time once to gain an understanding.

this movie really opened up my eyes for Emile. I mean I've seen him before. But I only remembered him from "girl next door".. When I saw this movie I could hardly believe it was the same person. He's really amazing. He could really smile and really cry. Wow. Never take an actor for granted. Into the wild is the best movie of the century..
