On my way from PDC to La Crosse along the Mississippi I catch up to a duo of GE's with a long string of hoppers. The first loco has a grey door and above it a burnt area. Blown turbo? Anyway, that had to be banned on chip, winter weather and all.

  • Great pacing shots! Interesting, door, I don't know layout, but your turbo guess is likely a good one.

  • Thanks! Turns out I saw the same train (I think) later on the other side of La Crosse with 3 different engines up front.
