@mhillman159 I beg to differ my friend. I have a 06 CBR600RR as that's my first bike and love it (might not go up to a 1000RR). Any two wheeled machine can get you in trouble but it all boils down to confidence. I took the MSF class and the instructor asked us day one what type of bike you wanted, I told him mine, and he said good starter bike. Also, I was extremely confident in wanting to learn which helps a lot while you're on the road. Pick what you feel is right and you can't lose. Ride Safe

@higleyknight44 So glad they took em down finally!!!!

@ThaReDeeMeR Look at the CBR 600F instead of the RR, for a start the RR is a race tuned version and isn't a beginner bike. Plus the insurance is a 1/4 the price for the F model rather than the RR, even though they share the same engine. :)

I'm gonna get this bike soon, this will be my first bike but in the UK they restrict new drivers to a max of 250cc, so I'm gonna have to get it restricted. You think it will be easier to control?

Right now I am looking at a 2006 CBR 600 RR with 4400 miles for $5,000. I have never had a motorcycle before and I plan on getting my motorcycle license soon. Is it easy to get used to riding these?

@ThaReDeeMeR well, to tell u the truth, these are not beginner bikes. i had a 91 yamaha fzr 400 for my first bike, and that was just perfect to start out on, if u dont pay attention these new 600cc's can get outta control fast, they have just as much power as the old 1000cc's did when they first came out. but as long as ur safe, take it easy, and dont try to show off, then i guess it'll work. just pay attention cuz the cars dont see u, and if they do they dont care anyways, lol.
