30 Second Special - Web Of Love

30 Second Special gives you a small dose of the pop culture that is lacking in your busy daily diet, in fact your life will change for the better, and this time we bring you the talented Joi Lansing.

"Web Of Love", was made in the mid sixties for the Scopitone jukebox system that was ahead of it's time with the concept of music film clips on demand, but the jukebox was plagued with the mechanical difficulties of loading and playing reels of film automatically.

Joi Lansing's work was as varied as nightclub singing, modelling, frequent television appearances and movie work.

Joi had a talent for being able to work in the Hollywood system without being affected by it, all the people that knew her spoke of her not turning into a "pretentious Hollywood type" that often happens when a starlet has success in Tinseltown.

Joi died in 1972 but Joi Lansing, and indeed "Web Of Love" should be celebrated for burlesque, exotica and just a little bit of erotica.

I watched these in Thialand, Bangkok in the early seventies, when I lived with my dad. He was there for some postal Airforce thing. I know he worked with the local air strip at Don Mong?? WE got to fly around with american pilots and see stuff. We would stop on the sides of mountains. I thought we would roll off . It was so cool.
