http://www.taijiworld.com I will be slowly putting up the first third of the Old Yang Style free to learn from.
This video teaches the Old Yang Style of Yang Lu-Ch'an. This is the Yang style before it was changed by Yang Cheng-fu to what we know today. The movements are not all slow. There are fa-jing (explosive energy) movements all through this form. It is quite energetic with leaping kicks and explosive punches. This style was taught to Erle Montaigue by Chang Yiu-chun, one of the main students of Yang Shou-hou, the Brother of Yang Cheng-fu. Shou-hou did not change his grandfather's style. This video, because it is quite long does not include the basic qigong. It teaches both the martial art of Taijiquan
and the healing art.

  • Very good videos, thanks for sharing your wisdom.

It's so unpleasant that you always have to shout the comments off because of haters, and it's a shame that such behaviour is so common in the martial arts online community.

    Greetings from Italy

  • Thank you, nice to hear. I always say: The day they ALL start to make NICE comments, that's the day I will give up! :)

  • Um, No? Of course not! Regards Erle

  • Great video's. Great teacher. The haters and criticisers are an unavoidable side effect of anonymous free speech, the more we all ignore them the less comment space is spent reacting and arguing with them, he less influence they ultimately have. I think of it as another form of tai chi practise :) Simply let their chi pass you by, with no target to strike it can do no harm.

  • Thankyou so much for the instruction always wanted to learn the form please put up the rest

  • On the 2-nd, 3-rd and last step you rotating hips back as well, while the hand still rolling after the strike. Is this correct?

  • Is there going to be part 5?

  • Wow! real cool, I watched all parts previous to this video and the explanation is great! I learned more in this half hour than I ever did taking hour long lessons! Thanks Erle!

  • Can the Taji form be done around a Bagua circle Erle?

  • Very impressive, Thank you. function and form.

    More info Please....Brijute
