Elton John - Club At the End of the Street

Not only does it look like a carton..it IS a cartoon! Love this song and I don't understand why it was never included on the two greatest hits albums that Elton released in 2002 and 2007. It deserves to be on at least one of them! It was a semi-hit in the USA after all.

Like many songs, I hated this one with a passion at first, but then grew over time to harbor a deep fondness for it's sound.

This was a flop in the uk not even getting in the top 40 strange as it followed a no.1 hit..

@thedukeofantioch: yeah and the rod stewart one looks like 80s dennis the menace, heathcliff, etc.

Actually no it didn't, only peaked at #28 here in the States, which is a crime as it was IMO his best 80s/early 90s song, aside from I'm Still Standing.

I agree, it's a great song, number 28 on the US charts is a hit but deserved better I think.

I LOVED this song as a kid... I wish they would play it more on the radio today :)
