@1RadicalDreamer No. But they should. They should recognize that USA was the first to revolt against the superior europeans. Venezuela was second on took heat from Spain. The rest were just handed free independence including Mexico. But why does the USA recognize Cinco De Mayo? Is it because Mexico cut France´s aid to the Confederates during the Civil War? mmmm! that ultimately gave the North the upper hand? wondering minds want to know.

Also you say that as if we shouldnt celebrate cinco de mayo Its celebrated nationwide in the US while only is certain regions in mexico.The battle of pueblo is important its the last time any european military force invaded a country in the Americas its a sign of our freedom , It always been a holiday for people from the US and Mexico

Here in the United States we give recognition to people who live here even if they are from another country. We appreciate what mexicans do for this country and 5 de Mayo is a special day for them so we celebrate that day here in the U.S. What is the problem with that? Listen closely! Segregation is over with and will never happen again. Deal with it
