Product of Mowest, 'branch office' of Motown before Berry Gordy moved to LA. Obviously this tune kinda sounds like the Philly International sound that was just about to break when this came out. Mowest made amazing music, but was not promoted well, and some of the stuff was just a little ahead, didn't fit radio the year it came out.
