Some impressions of Boston's Boylston MBTA station. This station is one of the two stations opened in 1897 as part of the Tremont Street Subway, the oldest subway in Northern America.
The time i was there, there were no Green Line trains running because of power problems in the Downtown area (i had to walk a lot this afternoon :-)).

  • yeah, there were no trains running because of electrical problems.

  • why were there people in the station and was it free?

  • i dont know. Maybe they hoped that service would resume soon (luckily evereything was ok the next morning because we hab to go to the airport)

  • yes, but i dont know when next time will be. Boston is about 6000km away from here^^.

  • i go through boylston just about every other day. i always think WOW this is the ugliest stop of all the stops. they really need to fix it up. but maybe they are trying to preserve this one stop.

  • They recently modernized the lighting in there. It used to be these old incandescent fixtures , and they gave the station this cool old style orangey look.

  • cool next time go on the inbound side where the 2 old stored trolleys the pcc and the other ones
