Lake County Indiana Storm And Tornado Devistation On 8-4-08

Two rounds of storms slammed Lake County Indiana late Monday night into Tuesday morning. Noaa confirmed 3 tornadoes in the Illinois Indiana area that night. Griffith Indiana suffered the most damage from these storms. Also effected were Lake Ridge, Munster, Gary, Highland, Hobart, and Lake Station. Minor injuries were reported in the Lake County area.

I have lived near Hobart/Gary for three years now and been through probably 5-10 tornado warnings. I am yet to hear a siren. IDK if there are any out there, but if there are they don't work

oh my god. i remember this.. my grandma lives on the street it hit luckily she lives in a strong brick home, thank jesus, i have been living there for all my life and it never gets this bad despite, the huge amounts of flooding in basements from the calumet river....:( in highland
