Overall Australia have been more of a dominating force than England when it comes to Cricket

"Australian captain, run out. Australian vice captain, run out"...beautiful words... can't wait for summer '13 for the next Ashes battle!

The Poms are just glad to be winning something besides darts.

@aussiumo There are idiots where ever you go in the world, but their presence makes you appreciate the vast majority of people who are sound. Never been to the east coast of the US, when I do, I'll form an opinion and let you know! Hope you're having a good day where ever are!

Yeah I suppose, but have you visited down south america. I presume the ignorance & racism are just as bad, drove through Alabama on the way to Florida with relatives once. Seemed a very different society to New York and places like that.

@DROLL30 Yeah, HOW!? Look up the definition of cheating before you make such small minded accusations.

@aussiumo Very true, the guys you speak of are some of the best of all time, but after living there for a year, I realised that nice beaches and land mass without a huge population density are a poor substitute for the racism and narrow mindedness, (not to mention a deep rooted chip on shoulders regarding the country's beginnings and roots), that appears to be ingrained within their society; ignorance rains supreme and though I had a great time there, I was well pleased to get home!

@rwalter23 I just went for like a day or sumthing, to a little town slightly north of Perth. Found the region quite welcoming. Do you mean the mainland down under, i.e. Sydney, Canberra, etc. are disturbing. What I mean by they can 'never be beaten' is that from their legendary waugh bros, warnie, mcgrath, gilly, hayden, langer etc, I reckon no team could ever emulate their success they had. Few Aussie sportsmen like Mark Webber and Steve Waugh seemed sporting wherever they drove or played

Just watching this brings back the happy tears!

1882 the Ashes series was born stating that the English Cricket had died and the body lies in that urn...
127 years later Australian cricket fans attack and from 2010 the series should be dubbed
"In Affectionate Remembrance of Australian CRICKET, which died at the Oval on 23rd AUGUST, 2009, Deeply lamented by a large circle of sorrowing friends and acquaintances R.I.P.
N.B. - The body will be cremated and the ashes taken to England."
