Don't be discouraged by the comments. We all need to find what works for us. I like your snappiness a lot. It's fast, hits hard, and is deceptive to the eye making combat with you intimidating. Thumbs up and thanks for posting. I hope to be as fast as you, and faster, one day.

So is Shorin Ryu more of a trunk with 4 branches?
Which of the 4 am I looking at when I see it done with almost no hip rotation?

@ptbiyindenver Matsubayashi is one of the four original styles of Shorin Ryu along with Matsumura Seito, Shobayashi and Kobayashi. So it is Shorin Ryu

Nice. I've been trying for the longest time to get this kata done right, maybe one day it will come.

Good lord, people, look at the title! This is not Shorin Ryu, it's Matsubahashi Ryu. They use these exaggerated hip movements on purpose to produce a surprisingly powerful whip-like action. AFAIK, in Shorin Ryu this would be considered extremely incorrect.
I do shotokan and have been recently applying these movements to Tekki in my own private training. I wouldn't do it in front of a Shotokan master, but the insight gained has most certainly made my technique better
