I just bought an Apple TV. Here it is working on my 6 year old Loewe Planus widescreen TV. Its not HD, just bog standard PAL 576i and the apple TV works perfectly. Also handles NTSC 480i.

Is it a 16:9 tv ?
If so, it probably will if you get a "component to scart" cable.
