What was wrong with the old sign, from many many years ago, that spelled out WELLINGTON in flowers? Sure, it's a bit "girly", but compared to the Wellywood idea it's almost brilliant. And why not have all sorts of signs, made of various coloured plants, that draw attention to topical attractions? For instance, a plant 'mural' based on The Hobbit - perhaps Smaug looming over the mountain. Or something. Anything but that flippin' weak rip-off.
