The Phillies won 2 games in one day (Sunday October 26 -games 3 & 4) and one game , game 5 took the Phillies 3 days to win it. It is a World Series record that will never be broken.

THE WORLD RECORD THE PHILLIES MADE IN THIS-PERHAPS THE TOUGHEST OF ALL WORLD SERIES,IS AS FOLLOWS:
Because the 3rd game went past midnight into the early morning hours of Sunday 10/26/2008,when the Phillies won, AND...
In the 4th game the Phillies won that same evening on Sun Eve 10/26/08,i.e. 2 WINS IN 1 DAY Sun 10/26/08.
The 5th game began Mon 10-27-08,Suspended due to rain after 5 1/2 innings. Tues 10 28 08, the rain continued & the completion was held off until Wed., Oct 29- the third day after the game began, the Phillies won the game 10 29 08 Wed & the World Series.
