My Becker is not correct about the difficulty in blowing the shofar. As a shofar blower and maker of shofarot, I know that it is not the size of the shofar per se, but the size of the mouthpiece. Ultimately, it is also the skill of the blower of the horn itself. The shofars I produce are significantly easier to blow than the factory produced ones.
