  • i am in the market for cd turntables aswell and my two top choices were CDJ-800 mkIIs and Denon DN-S3500, from what i have seen they are both in the same price range, difference were that the denon has efx available and a direct drive feature, upto now im still debating on which to get, any advice on this?

  • Best advice I can give is try and get your hands on both to see which you like best. They are both good players. As you can see, I went with the CDJ800's.

  • Yeah dude. You really need to spend a little more time on there difference. I have a pair of pro scratch II's and they work ok. I have not used them to there full potential, mostly because I'm an old school club DJ and still love my vinyl. Yeah I know wake up from the 70's. I don't want to date my self, but I started in clubs before the CD player was invented. Ouch. I for one think the pro scratch is a good deal for the money.

But really, we need a better demo.

  • This video was meant to show the difference in the platters function. It was not intended to be an overview of the entire player. I agree that the ProScratch is a great player. Maybe I should make a video just on the ProScratch features. Thanks, btw there is nothing wrong with vinyl. ;)

  • I feel what you are getting at. Well, why not do another video of you putting each one though there paces? Mix it up a little bit. I think a lot of young DJs starting out could learn some thing from us older jocks out there.

    Keep it spinning!

  • Thanks for the video ideas. The youtube DJ movement is all about sharing information and enjoying the craft. Btw, who are you calling old ;) Let me know if you share some of your DJ knowledge. I'm always willing to learn new things.

  • @DUDEmethaar its nice and all but i prefer my SL1200s now, this was two years ago when i was on the market for cdjs, i went for the cdj800 and loved it but i fell inlove with the 1200s the first time i played with one, its been 2 years since i got my tables..i still have my cdj800s but i rarely use them mainly as a back up for my technics..

  • @EJ8civic i would buy the 3500 its just sooo nice. it is even better than the cdj1000

  • pro scratch 2 works just like any pioneer cdj you just need to figure out how to use it for scratching. believe it or not im able to scratch as cdj800,1000 or real turntable using pro scratch 2 using my modified scratch tracks see some of my video to see it in action also with pro 2 you get MORE & nice fx interface that doesnt comes with pioneer cdj.about the ground i dont have any problem with it i even cut the ground and i still works perpectly.

  • go with the new denons 5000 a bit pricey but they n=beat the mk2s ass

  • Great how much with tax included?

  • Yes, what is the difference in price, and what gives you better value for the money. (Bang for the buck)

  • Good point about having the unit grounded. I didn't know that at all. When I was DJing over seas I some times had a glitch in that department. Now I know why.
