@MetaphorMediaKC, well, that's the problem here. This isn't about what you think or feel. It's about the facts. Jesus wasn't poor. Poor people don't have treasurers who can pilfer money out of the bag (Judas). Jesus didn't waste time living in public parks. Jesus went about doing something to actually help people become atonomous and helping them stand on their own two feet (literally in some cases). Jesus cared deeply about the poor and I never implied otherwise.
You're wrong. And you know what? It wouldn't matter if you're right. You're advocating for selfishness. You're saying Jesus didn't give a Sh*t about anyone but himself, basically. You're saying Jesus wasn't a protester. That he didn't take issue with the status quo. You really think that? If that's the Jesus you serve, I think your Jesus is an A**hole. Mine is much more compassionate than that.
@MetaphorMediaKC, Well, you must have missed the part where Jesus had a treasurer. Last time I checked, poor people don't need treasurers. And yeah. Jesus tossed out the people selling doves because the temple was supposed to be a house of prayer. Once the temple was clean, Jesus left the dove selling folks alone. He didn't protest them and he didn't walk around like a dope whining about rich people being rich and how the poor people didn't have any money.
@Jedikep I've read the Bible through numerous times, and Jesus WAS poor. He WAS born in a public place, and he threw the merchants out of the temple by force. What's more, Jesus had compassion, and he was crucified by the Government and the social/religious elite.
For starters, Jesus wasn't homeless. Jesus wasn't broke, and Jesus didn't go out protesting against people for being rich. You boneheads need to actually READ the Bible before you go trying to represent it's message.
