On Election Day 2008, Proposition 8 passed and became law in the state of California and it changed the California Constitution by adding a new section (7.5) to Article 1, which reads, "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California. LOVE poignantly illustrates the tremendous impact this law has had on those within the LGBT Community and their families ability to be responsible for and to ultimately provide the same loving care that is automatically offered to those within the heterosexual community.
