Maximum Destruction's RARE Arena Crash Footage 3-8-08

Tom Meents made a surprise visit to the Monster Jam fans on the night of March 8th, 2008. The setting was the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was during freestyle when he got a little bit too crazy, but he made the fans leave with a smile on their face after the event. He went off a jump and landed on the side of his truck, causing Max D to slide on it's roof into the other monster trucks, which there were pit crew guys there at the time but they scattered once they seen a 10,000 pound Maximum Destruction crashing in their direction. Then Tom Meents gets out of his monster truck, talks about his run, and then gives away his helmet to a kid right under me, on the lower seat section. It was surprising seeing Tom Meents at a Thunder Nationals Arena event, but he truly was the best gun out there.

Yes, the red truck (next to the yellow one) had pretty bad body damage but nothing too bad. There were about 5 or 6 people over there at the time, they all scattered before Max D hit the trucks. Good thing because it wouldn't feel good being wedged between a monster truck and a huge wall.
