I'm amazed... how you got from the beginning to the end result just floored me. I have been doing rock pop producing from my own songwriting for years but want to start producing cool old school hip hop type stuff (DJ Shadow, Solid Steel type stuff)... where does one start? I have just gotten Battery 3 and I guess I need some samples to work with and then figure out how to edit all that. Any tips or sites with guidance?

@ryryrecords well I would first look up on google ol school or ol skool samples. Sample off of records. I normally do not sample off of records in the way you see in this video. I normally sample sounds not loops or phrases. I might sample a snare or maybe a stab etc...

With cubase, sampling is way more tighter. time stretching takes 3 sec...but with battery 3 nice combo

@BeatMakersWord yea I have heard this before. People saying oh if you use something else its faster. That statement would be more appropriate if I said this is the fastest way to sample. I did not. I do want to thank you for sharing Cubase.
