  • Really enjoy Mr. Osborne's playing, thanks for posting!

  • @MarkR1957 This comment is ridiculous. You hate copycats, but Osborne is terrific and original and Cully stinks and is a copycat, come on...

  • Regardless of who his influences are, he plays very well.

  • Everybody wants to be Buddy Rich, but without the talent

  • i know im a bit late in responding, but come off it,are you really trying to tell us that donny isnt a rip off of buddy rich,i am one of buddys biggest fans and have been for 40 years, just look at the posture and the way he plays and even donny has the same colour kit,he even wipes the sweat off his nose the same way buddy did,im not critacle of dick or donny to me it doesnt matter we all copy someone, anyway if you want to see the master go to geoffos, cheers

  • Once again, Buddy Rich protege and Mel Torme's exclusive touring and recording drummer for over 20 years DONNY OSBORNE will appear at Rob Cook's vintage drum show. This year the date will be Sunday, May 17th for a clinic and master class. Plan on attending as this is the best, biggest and longest running show going in the drum world today. Multi-platinum recording artist, original founding member of CHICAGO, DANNY SERAPHINE will headline that same day!! Danny and Donny...Not to be missed!!

  • Thanks for the kind comments about my client Donny Osborne. You can see other videos on him at my page posting as booksdates. Also, if your support this artist please pickup his CD at CD BABY. Regards- Steve P, Agent, Producer, Promoter.

  • Don't forget Butch Miles. His style was VERY similar to Buddy's and they had a love/hate relationship. But in the end it was Buddy that recommended Butch to Count Basie.

  • Yes, I will do so Mark after I finish making a fresh application for a job at the Lehman Broths website. lol!

Seriously, yes I definately will on the former...(well I've done the latter already). Thanks Mark.

  • Glad I included Mel on the list, Harry.

There is a lot of him (but not enough) to see here on YT, and you can find some in my favorites.

If you ever have the chance to get the Jazz at the Smithsonian DVD with Mel's band, you will see what I consider the best band in the land.
