@OutcastAngelV Probably the best way to go about it is twist and rip. There's an Awesome video on how to do it by 2SVJ7 'how to make dreadlocks'
it takes a little time but you get a solid product immediately, a handful of mine are twist and rip, and I honestly wish they all were. It makes for beautiful and fast maturing dreads in soft, silky or 'white' hair.
Some one told me my hair is too soft to dread... Does softness really have to do with dreads??

@Ophelialife I don't think so. I often get compliments on how soft my dreads are. When initially dreading, it's always easier if your hair has a little bit of texture, so sure, your hair may be too soft for certain techniques of dreading, but that just means you have to find the method that works best for you. There are all sorts of methods that you can try out and as long as you aren't damaging the hair in any way, your dreads will turn out just as beautiful as the next guys :P
