@happy7117 Well, to be fair, it was just a sign of the times. During much of the 1980's and much earlier, it was just common belief that in divorce scenarios, the men were always villains and the women were always victims. Thankfully, however, we're a self-correcting country, and we now realize that not all dads are bad guys, and that not all moms are angels. Now, if we could only get the media to start recognizing that fact, then that would be much better.

Mr Whitney was never the monster in this episode after all. He loved Jennifer to death and what he says to Jennifer when he holds her and explains why he kidnapped her, you could tell he truly cared about her and loved her.

Henry says Mr Whitney kidnapped Jennifer out of per selfishness???

It was in fact Jennifer's mother who was purely selfish.

I bet if the situation was reversed- if Jennifer stayed with her dad Mr Whitney, I am betting Jennifer's mother would want to see her as well.
