I was commissioned to make 'the science bits' for BBC Three's first ever science show, Secrets of the Universe. These are those bits.

The show was produced and directed by Dan Child and fronted by Greg Foot http://twitter.com/gregfoot

  • Mythbusters tried to replicate the mirror shields, however they were 100+ degrees short of producing flames, which brings in question if they did actually do so back then. The Mythbusters theorized they used the mirrors to blind and/or distract the enemy ships and killed them in another way.

  • @Craetions I didn't know about that, thanks for the info

  • Haha so glad you're getting these cute jobs! Lol you are SO talented! I love your quirkiness! :) xoxxxx

  • What? The earth wasn't created by the big bang. It was created by god.

And the earth is only about 6,000 years old :)

  • clever clever animations, must say especially big kudos on the sinking ship, must've took an age... or some clever trickery! We love stop-motion!

  • Excellent vid as always Barrypilling! Unlike most vids on youtube you retained my attention for the whole video - as always! :D

  • archimedes death ray was tested on mythbusters! it can't be done :(

  • "I got you. Lol." xDD That was awesome. Actually, scratch that, the entire video was awesome. As always, I'm highly impressed, Barry.

  • Barry, you are so immensely awesome. Truly. <3

  • @Craetions The hubby and I were discussing it the other day, and concluded that it didn't have to be nearly hot enough to set anything on fire to make a VERY unhealthy environment for humans. So not just distraction -- it would pretty effectively force them to retreat!
