  • @PiiMPeeR The baby in the background (-8 days old at the time) was in the capable hands of my wife who probably wouldn't have appreciated my intervention. Charlotte is our 3rd child so I like to think that by now my wife knows what she is doing.

  • @Jeteso2009 I don't play competitively any more, Just coach Fred.

  • @jamfreddie how can a busy man play table tennis??

  • Polska - przejmujemy ten filmik !!!!!!!! :D

  • @jamfreddie Yeah, its gonna be hard for him to make the squad, but there is still hope. A strong national championship performance next weekend might help - and it wouldn't hurt if he got back here with a lot of confidence before the quaterfinals. In this season he have won 22 out of 30 matches played, so he have been a key player for us.

  • @ARIstotelesVUC I'm glad it helped.

I did beat Daniel on the one occasion that we played, though he was probably only around 10 or so at the time. A couple of years older, and I would have probably found him a little more tricky. He is a hard working player so hopefully he will do well for you over there. I suspect that he be just outside the group of players who could be selected for the Olympics though, but you never know.

  • @jamfreddie I tried the water tip today when I cut my Andro Hexer powersponge - a very soft sponge (without knowing it precisely I would guess the sponge is a bit similar to the one on Calibra sound or Calibra Spin). With a bit of water the knife went much more smoothly through the rubber, so I say thank you for tip.

We got a British lad in my club here in Denmark - Daniel Reed - great guy, we all hope to see im in the Olympics this summer.

    Cheers from Denmark

  • @ARIstotelesVUC The water (or even better a little veg oil) is only really necessary with certain sponges. The sponge on Calibra seemed to have improved when I cut some a few weeks back and the knife didn't stick and make the sponge tear. As long as the knife is sharp and you put edge tape on, the result it always fine for me.

I'm glad that you like my replies. I just have a bit of fun on here really, but some people seem to take it all so seriously.

  • @jamfreddie Somehow I just love your answers to people who complains. If I needed to know how to glue a rubber to a racket, this video would have shown me how....and I thought I knew everything there was to know, but yet I learned something new - the trick with the water for the knife - I will try that next time. Keep it up mate.
