Subli is a prayer dance, it may have been practiced even before the spanish came and was adapted as a Christian ritual in Alitagtag, Batangas. the movements are definitely native.

Do you have a video of that original version?. The dance steps performed here are identifiable. I can see the laban, liguid, pamumupol and the bilao performed. The Subli orinated in Dingin, Alitagtag, Batangas not Talumpok, nevertheless its also performed there.

this is a modified version of subli from talumpok, batangas city. nawala yung pagiging mahinhin ng mga babae sa sayaw. the movements of the boys are different from the original.
