what luck! i actually had my camera out for once at the right moment! after a 2 day mission we were returning back to the fob, got stuck right behind route clearance in front of the base and not even a click away from the gate we received 3 mortars... what a bitch. you really dont get to see any of the blasts but you can hear them decent enough, and for anyone thats been through IDF, its enough just to hear it...

Are you still active military? I am a member of an order that loves to support our troupes. A friend of mine is in the national guard and I sent him 3 packages while he was in Iraq. Snacks, magazines, newspapers, whiskey. It is very hard to find address for US service people in Iraq. If you know were to send "care" packages to US service people in Iraq I could get some "care" packages going. Todd
