Will McCain's energy policies be similar to the ones that created our terrible addiction to forein oil, and sent trillions of dollar to nations that harbor radical terrorists? I for one will be voting for Barack Obama. Please create a similar video with Obama's positions and votes, I am curious to see how he fares in your non-partisan arena. If we had listened to Jimmy Carter in the seventies we would not be in this position now. Bush had an opportunity, directly after 9/11, when the nation was enraged and united, to call for all manner of energy conservation measures and sell them [ correctly] as economically sound and patriotic to boot. Instead, incredibly, he called on Americans to......go shopping.

Offshore drilling would not impact markets for over a decade. At present various US oil companies have leases on 68 million acres they have chosen not to exploit [ and the word IS exploit]. They also refuse to build additional refineries despite head-spinning profits. Conservation, on the other hand, when practiced widely, has an immediate impact on demand.
