I've been wearing Grishkos for years now. I too have strong ankles so it's an excellent shoe as the shank is strong and doesn't break as easily as other pointes. With the correct exercises and stretches, breaking them in shouldn't be a problem and you will fall in love with them. I don't wear any other shoe! Enjoy :)
