Lolita the killer whale. The innocent prisoner of Miami Seaquarium. Lolita's tank is sub-standard by American marine laws - it measures 35 feet across and 12 feet deep around the edges to 20 feet at it's deepest point.
Please lobby the authorities listed, and if you are a US campaigner, hassle them at their park gates regularly with flyers and banners, they don't like that! Email the following:

National Marine Fisheries Service. Ask why they continually allow Miami Sea Aquarium to operate when it is sub-standard to their own laws.

Kiska the only captive orca who is retired....Marineland Canada may of not been the best facility in the world, but atleast they believe in the retirement of their performers...although I don't know now her being the only orca left their....if they will try to take her out of retirement but still...retirement can be done.....retire Lolita!!

@tone430 While some of your information is correct if you read the offical report, keiko was still semi captive he was still being hand fed by his team and while i agree he needed to be taken out of the aquarium the only reason he wasn't placed into another better one such as sea world was due to the virus he had, keiko was never accepted by ANY pod, and has actually been attacked by wild orca..keiko died alone ill and was actually partly starving himself..

@ALoveForOrcas MSQ never has anything intelligent to say. In their shows they like to say that Lolita "eats sea mammals" When in reality she is a southern resident... therefore eats fish. Dumb asses.

At 0:14 the sign said are killer whales endangered? It said no!

They are endangered and there numbers are falling fast! I would go to miami and scribble out no, and put YES! and then write on the wall with black permanent marker and say: what kind of place are you running here dip shits? :D what a lovely idea! Lolita needs more help but so do they other animals that live in that hell hole.

@richorcaonyt Keiko was sick & dieing while he was IN captivity!He left the park in Jan.'96.They return him to health, then the wild. He got better & gain over a ton in weight!In Sept.'98 he was released in a Iceland bay(under supervision)where they helped him adapt. In July'02 he was on his own & later found thinner in Norway.Cousteau said he lost weigh cause he was active & swam 100 miles a day & was NORMAL weigh for a free orca.Dec.'03 he got Pneumonia & beached himself.He didn't starve!

@richorcaonyt Once again, NO ONE said orcas are endangered! Listen to the man, he said, that's 1 of the facts MSQ state, so they don't have to release Lolita! MSQ says, "Orcas aren't endangered so we don't have to release Lolita!" But wen people ask them why is Lolita in such a small tank or the park is dangerous for humans & animals, they have no answers! & I say ur on MSQ's side because u listen to people from the parks, wen they said its bad for orcas to be re-introduced into the wild!

@tone430 PART 2-Our government won't uphold the animal rights laws cause Hertz pays politicians & congressmen 6 figures every year, so they help him out! He says Lolita will never survive in the wild, but Keiko survived & he couldn't find his pod. We know where Lolita's pod is, so I'm positive she'll survive!

If you're referrin about the paper @ 0:10, that asks (Are They Endangered?) then LISTEN to the man speak, he says, Everything MSQ says to people is good science or biology & is dedicated to keeping her there! In other words, They say, "Orcas aren't endangered so we don't have to let her go!" MSQ don't wanna talk about her tank being too small nor the fact that she has work for 40 years & their park is run down.
