Live Interview: Bobbi Lane Wins APA 25th Anniversary Award

Bobbi Lane is a commerical photographer, writer and educator who recently won the APA's 25th Anniversary Special Recognition Award for National Education.

Bobbi Lane shares her many years of professional experience in her hands-on workshops. Based in Connecticut, she shoots people on location for corporate and editorial clients as well as photographing real people for stock agencies. A passionate photo educator, Bobbi has twice won UCLA's Outstanding Teacher Award. She offers a variety of dynamic workshops at leading educational institutions throughout the country, and also through her own one-day, weekend, and week-long workshops in New York City and Fairfield, Connecticut. Bobbi is well-known in the industry for providing workshop participants with essential information, creative photography techniques, and innovative ideas in a fun-filled learning environment.

Bobbi Lane and Calumet Photographic have recently released an original, instructional DVD, Portraits Unplugged with Bobbi Lane. You don't need expensive lights to shoot great portraits, just an understanding of how to use available light. In this DVD, Bobbi Lane shows how the beauty of available light is everywhere, and perfect for creating wonderful images. Bobbi Lane is a commercial photographer and photo educator with more than 30 years experience. The "Mistress of Light" photographs people for advertising, corporate and editorial assignments, and also for stock. She brings insight, inspiration and enthusiasm to her students at the International Center of Photography in New York, Santa Fe Workshops, Julia Dean Workshops and Bobbi Lane Workshops. Bobbi is also a contributing editor for Photo Techniques magazine.
