Community unites to save Hudson Catholic

The Boston Catholic Arch Diocese and St Michael's Parish of Hudson abruptly announced the closure of Hudson Catholic High School. A gem of an institution that has produced a governor, business leaders, top athletes, and this year has sent students to Harvard and Cornell; this is stunning news to the students, parents, alumni and community.

We have banded together with funding and a plan to save Hudson Catholic. Please watch this film, and then make a statement of support if you can.

Gov't has no right to endorse or promote any one religion or church (in this case) using public money. That is a inescapable logic. Gov't and all public institutions must remain secular. Religion is a private matter.

There are three Catholic elementary schools and one high school in a seven mile radius. We felt certain the Diocese would merge at least two of the elementary schools, and insure tighter bonding with Hudson Catholic (the single high school).

Instead the Arch Diocese of Boston makes a knee jerk decision to shut down the only high school (Hudson Catholic)???
