Tranny may or may not be a slur, but if it is, it is not a transphobic one, as it is short for transvestite, and transvestites are totally different from transgender/sexual people (although it is possible to fall into both categories).

1: men wearing heels are transvestites: meaning someone who wears an article or articles of clothing not generally associated with their gender. They may also be transgendered, but that is a separate issue.

2: Transvestites are a separate section of the population that does not necessarily overlap with transgender and by insisting that "transvestite" is a slur, you are denying them their legitimacy in the same way you accuse me of denying trans people theirs.
