Allicin is unstable, immediately it is produced by crushing or eating garlic it disperses into other compounds.

So by the time you have put the garlic in the water there would be no allicin left. Nothing wrong with eating raw garlic, does the world of good, but stabilised allicin is far more powerful.

You might find Aloe Vera gel or moisturiser helps with the shaving rash/spots. For itchy bites/nettle stings I tend to use homeopathic pillules of urtica urens, works a treat as an antihistamine and doesn't caused drowsiness.

ive been advised by a chemist to use this for shaving rash/spots and flea bites, would this be suitable for those things?

I can testify to the following! I was bitten by a Hobo spider and the flesh rotted to my bone and antibiotics didnt get it but what did was a pack of crushed garlic and it was stopped in about 2 wks, the allicin stablised in my opinion is a powerful weapon although I did not know about it until recewntly and already had used raw garlic for the cure but be careful of the direct application of raw garlic use a pack of some kind I am trying allicin right now for lung and throat infection!~
