Buy at http://www.shapeways.com/model/412403/tanacube_too.html Copyright (c) 2003, 2012, M.Oskar van Deventer. Tanacube Too is a put-together cube puzzle with tangram-shaped faces. It was Oskar's answer of a challenge by George Miller and Peter Rasmussen. Size: 60x60x60 mm, same as a Rubik's Cube.

Here is more info on the Tanacube challenge and the original Tanacube (One) designed by Bill Darrah: http://chinesepuzzles.org/tanacube.

This puzzle was 3D-printed using nylon-powder SLS technology, which explains its price. It is the very first prototype, costing its designer and maker a lot of money to create. Please do not confuse it for a cheap mass-produced puzzle.

  • i wish there was a cube you could make around 70 dollars so i could buy it even though it costs alot to make them alot of people cant really afford it

  • @teddypsn Please go to my Shapeways Shop and sort by price. I have several less expensive puzzles, including some arounf $70.

  • I like this Tanacube Too because Dr Oskar integrate two different Mechanical puzzles organically, not just mechanically combined, which means at the very sight of Tanacube Too, we normally mistake it for another new kind of twisty puzzle. In fact Tanacube Too ingeniously embeds somewhat 3D tangram in a Interlocking but cube-like puzzle.

Dr Oskar!

  • @erauqscme 谢谢你的大致意。我感到很荣幸。奥斯卡

  • Great video! But Oskar was exaggerating when he called me the world's leading expert on tangrams. However I do take credit with coming up with the idea of creating a dissectible cube with a tangram on each face. You can see the original Tanacube on the Chinese Puzzles website at chinesepuzzles(dot)org/tanacube/. --Peter Rasmussen

  • @ChinesePuzzles Peter, thank you for the inspiration! Oskar

  • Oskar, not only are you a talented designer, but you've got a great sense of humor. Its the way you say things, you always seem so serious. This video really shows both of these qualities. Much respect, my friend.

  • I enjoy when he says "Thank you for watching" at the end of every video. I look forward to it.

  • @LightSchiffer Dude, you screwed up, he said that 1:09 was the moment to make phallic comments! You came too early!

  • o_O

  • I <3 you and your cube making. I want to buy all of the cubes that you make. You do make them, right?

  • in 10 years, people are going to be solving this in 0.60 seconds

  • Your just modifying the same idea over and over; you should create something that doesn't have anything to do with a cube or spheres unless it's completely original. That would be cool.

  • 1:00 : Erection cube !
