@itssimpleiwinyoulose if he flat called with A-K high on the flop, what makes you think he couldn't flat called with A-Q? Sure, Q-J is another possibility, but u can't just say "two pair are hard to make". It can certainly happen. And yes, I've seen many ppl slow playing overpairs, especially if you are playing against Jason since he is most likely to C-bet every flop after a raise preflop. Great play by both players.

What hand raises on the turn that couldnt raise on the flop? Unless he was slowplaying an overpair or a set the only hand that makes sense to me is QJ. And 2 pair are hard to make :)

newb looking player on a flush draw board, wilf just calls the flop. on the turn he raises mercier. people usually only reraise with the nuts on the turn, the turn also came a q which is an rasy reraise spot for wilf, mercier knows this. so for this story to be believable mervier has to believe that he hit a set and just called the flop, or he just wants mercier to give up on the turn, but when that didn't happen wilf still went with the reraise which seems a bit more bluffish than strong.
Mercier is a very good player :]

i just don't get this play. how the hell does Mercier know he has folding equity against someone who committed nearly half his stack? i wouldn't think twice about just calling turn and shut down if i miss. sick play
