@WTF23450 Yes some politicians try to cross the line between oppression and freedom but they can not take away our freedom. Their jobs are to check freedom in a sense that we have freedom but have limits to what we can do with those freedoms.

@LeCoeurOuvert well, socialism is just an economic form - there can be socialistic monarchy as Libya or a socialistic oligarchy as USSR. The capitalism has the same issue - there can be capitalistic oligarchy such as Third Reich or capitalistic republic - as US in XIX century. The economic form - or methode of economic prodution by Engels base itself on scientific level of the industry, where goverment forms are based mainly on people's will.

@JubularBird Democrat progressives are every bit as detrimental to liberty as Republican progressives. The Dems during Wilson rubbed us of our right to drink alcohol and use drugs. They robbed us of our right to choose what sort of light bulb, washing machine, toilet or shower head we can buy. Whether we can smoke in our own bar or wear a seat belt or have salt shakers in restaurants. The so called pro choice crowd is responsible for removing more choices from individuals than ANYONE else
