I wrote and directed this commercial for Casa Youth Shelter that Allison starred in when she was 12 years old. She is a terrific young actress - very talented. (from Gene Massey - director)

She is great at acting without formal training!

This was surely pre-Idol, so she might haven't even know if she was going to be on Idol. She was an active part of her community, participating in many community events, so I wouldn't characterize this video as bad judgement, but as proof of her character (like the activities of Kris Allen going to help around the world, also pre-Idol)
