  • Mister Ellick, I keep an online atrchive of material from or relating to the Caffe Cino, where Harry flowered as a playwright. caffecino dot wordpress dot c_m You will find many images of Harry there.

  • I am very much concerned about Harry's effects. I have exhausted all my resources trying to find out who has them. I want to help make sure that Harry's work is preserved, made available to scholars, and published for the world.. Please contact me if you can help.

  • Harry Koutoukas was the best man at my wedding in July, 1965. We were neighbors and friends. ...the three of us had numerous breakfasts together at the newly opened Pink Teacup when it was on Bleecker, around the corner from Christopher St. It was a fun time. I spoke with him a couple of years ago and reminded him of my bachelor dinner as he tried to persuade me to run off with him instead. LOL. There were many excursions to the Cino and La Mama. Fun days. TU, Harry.......

  • I was an intern at Judson some years ago. Harry was the first person I met there. I loved him. I have so many wonderful memories of him.

  • I was a member of the School for Gargoyles and a dear friend of Harry's. Much of the outrageous jewelry Harry wore was made by me and he wore it with great flourish.

We did jewelry for his plays and a stage set for " Turtles Don't Dream" with artist and friend Mario Rivoli. When I moved to Oregon Harry never lost touch and would call every Valentines day and Birthday.I love you Harry and always will.

  • as I tried to post this it didn t work!

felt Harry was giving notes from Heaven!

  • Playwright Harry influenced the real Downtown types of dramatists--even the new breed--unlike the post-cyber he held court on the streets & spouted bravura tirades...will miss this INDIVIDUAL!

  • Love you, Harry - your shimmering grace, your divine anarchy,

your eloquent wit. illuminate the street Church of Perry, as ever, and sail on, thou stately ship. This is the dawning.

    applause & EXCELSIOR, poet.
