it was 15 miles from me and i could here the train/jet sound it made and it was loud that far away oO f5's are some freaky shit i never thought id be so close to something like that

I can't believe they didn't mention the storm in Jackson county. I mean you could plainly see the storm in northeast Alabama had a hook. I lived in bridgeport at the time. Bridgeport is about 30 miles northeast of scottsborro. The storm started in Scottsboro then kept going northeast. Bridgeport was pounded by an f4 and an f5 tornado. I just pisses me off that they forgot us in Bridgeport .

Bigjim. Every storm that was picked up looked like a tornado and they were all moving at different speeds and in some cases different directions over the same spot which makes them very hard to track. So i suggest you get your damn facts straight before you start running your mouth about things that you know nothing about.

Bigjim You don't know jack shit about what happened that day. I was in Hackleburg that night. I worked search and rescue there for 3 weeks afterwards. Those meteorologists save thousands of lives that day including hundreds of firefighters including myself and other rescue workers when a second tornado was spotted heading towards Hackleburg. They did the best they could with what they had to go on. There was so many damn storms going at that time that you couldn't see s**t on the radar.

I'm sorry bigjim. But, I'm pretty sure I was dead on with the path and considering that there were more than 10 warnings at one time we did a damn good job. Furthermore, are you a degreed meteorologist because I am.

I agree gunnlover. Also, the whole time they were putting tracks on the storm they always had it moving on too north of a path.

@boezzo man. i wasnt saying they werent trying, they just didnt do as good of a job as brad travis did on their storm track predictions. geez. and btw, i do know what happened that day i live in north alabama so im very aware of what was going on. also.......don williams sucks.
