We recently purchased a Concept 2 Model D rowing machine. Rowing machines are a great way to get a full body workout. I show you how the machine is put together and to use it. I also give you my opinion on how effective a workout it gives you. Be sure to check my blog post at www.bikebeerbbq.com/our-new-concept-2-rowing-machine/ for more information and links to resources you can use to get the most from your rowing machine.

  • Your technique needs a little work. Fundamentally you're ok, but you need to make sure that you rock over and push your arms out straight before you break your knees on the recovery.

  • @AJC79 I filmed this just a couple of days after I got the C2 so my form was still very sloppy. In the last year I've gotten much better. I'm right at 700k meters lifetime. I don't use it much in the Spring/Summer but in the Winter I use it 2-4 days a week. It gives a fantastic workout, that's for sure!

  • Will this burn fat at a rate wich is more or less as effective as running? I have somewhat of a breathing problem, and often get headaces from running, and i have been through heartsurgery. Now, after some time of lazyness, i want to get back in shape. Is this, along with weigh-workouts an effective way to burn away the unwanted belly?

  • Alright friend. I'm all set. Thanks a bunch for the info! I'll contact you through C2 forums soon! Cheers! God bless!

  • @arthureloi Yes, once you get rowpro setup it can automatically upload to C2's online logbook. You will need to go to the logbook and set your team affiliation as TimbukTOO. my Username is "markman" so look me up. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers!

  • @VideoBeerReviews Hey friend. As soon as I get my new C2 and learn the ropes I'll try and join Timbuktoo too =) Alas, I'm not much of a forum guy and thus the question: Is my PM4 + Row pro combo capable of logging and sending online my progress automatically? Cheers!

  • @arthureloi welcome to the club! You should really enjoy the C2. Be sure to check out the C2 forums and the Cencept 2 Online logbook that they maintain. You can affiliate yourself with a team and participate in a number of challenges throughout the year. I'm a member of team Timbuktoo. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions. Cheers!

  • @VideoBeerReviews Well thank you very much for the info! It's been very helpful, really. I decided to buy it since I live in a house and thus I don't think the noise will disturb my neighbours that much.

Thank you for the support and congratulations for the awesome channel!

  • @arthureloi The C2 isn't silent but it's not too loud. I'd compare it to having a large fan going. There's a constant "Whoosh, Whoosh" sound as the flywheel moves. If you have this right above or next to the neighbors it might be too loud. I wish I could be more help.

  • Hello friend. Thank you very much for the review.

I want to buy this but I'm worried about the noise since I'll be rowing in the morning and the neighbours might be sleeping. Is it too loud::

    Thanks!
