  • what was the title of the second song after Jerusalem?

  • @eijk2k9 Living Sin.

  • Gary has played for me live and he recorded a 12 minute long improv tape for me while I was in high school that showed he has some intense skill. Gary has been playing ELP since he was 6 years old; that's testimate enough to his skill. The hecklers can say whatever they want. It has zero merit...to say a LIVE musician is a copyist only fortifies their own ignorance. You hear this guy live for 3 seconds and you'll be eating your shoes, so just quit causing trouble already.

  • Haha, not six years old goggles; nine years old. And more prominently at 12-13 years old. =D Cool comment, though!

  • Close enough. Haha...

  • "Oh yeah, well I played E.L.P. before E.L.P. was even born!!"

    Boo-yah! :þ

  • This ELP tribute is brilliant, the best I've heard, and I've searched around quite a bit. (I even have my own ELP tribute)

Anyway, the comments questioning the keyboardist's playing shouldn't be dignified with any response, they are made out of complete ignorance of what is heard in the recordings. I can easily hear every note that is being played, and it is all live and the musicianship is formidable.

    BRAVO!!!

In what city did this band perform?

  • Not many people can sing and play drums. It is very difficult to hold the note when you're physical. He has a really good feel in his playimg. The bass and keyboards are exact replicas. These guys playing goes to show how great ELP is.

Truly competent and kicks it up a notch!

  • @calamityjames I think you guys are the coolest guys in the world!!!! I want to join the band... seriously! This is so good and the choice of tunes so good.... now that it's done, i've begun to see the reason why im here!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you Dr. Moog for such a awesome instrument. If it weren't for you, Les, and Leo, we'd be paying double-neck ukulele's and Quaker oats cans! ;-)

  • @smartlampost: Actually a Moog Prodigy is quite small, monophonic, and is perfect for stuff like Lucky man. Sadly, she works, but has a burnt oscillator and I have the schematic but little time for her.

But that fat sound can't be touched by a digital keyboard which is why Moog's are gaining in popularity is the last decade. My friends were impressed when I got it in '84.

  • Yeah, whenever someone says "ElP SuKcS" I say "How? How do they suck!?" and they fall flat on their face ;D

Those guys are awsome; wow, you really have a moog? Does it take up a whole room? XD In all seriousness, though, has it aged well? Do you get to make all the original ELP synthesizer sounds? Do you show it off to all your friends? Either way, you are lucky

  • Hell yes! Nice singin' and playin' drummer!

  • I think you guys did a excellent job. Bravo!!Now if more guys played like this I'd go out more. Anybody that doesn't appreciate this is just jealous....like me! Keith was the reason I bought a Moog Prodigy & Korg BX-3 years ago.

  • I would LOVE to see your show somewhere in the Connecticut area! That was phenomenal!

  • I'm speechless...
