Tallulah, the One-Eyed Cat

Tallulah is a Maine Coon mix rescue kitty we adopted in April of this year. She's missing one eye from a injury and subsequent infection just prior to us adopting her.

She also has Pemphigus Foliaceus which has caused her to lose the fur on her face. We are working closely with our veterinarian to deduce the right level of medication to keep her healthy. We are to the point her fur is starting to grow back and she's as feisty as she was when we first adopted her. Yay!

With Tali there was something very obviously wrong, what with her "crusty" skin and losing fur. The vet checked for parasites and did blood tests and nothing came up unusual. Basically, it seems like if it's not anything else it is probably pemphigus foliaceus. There are different forms as well. Some forms attack the feet and/or tummy and are more severe.
