@SUPER53 Yes, even if your Citroen has alloy wheels, more than likely the spare is a steel wheel and therefore has a centre hole. Much easier and safer to put the spare on, put the wheel on the ground and then the socket will fit through the centre hole of the wheel. Park brake on and car in gear and you should be able to loosen and tighten the hub nut easily. Of course remove the locking pin and ring prior to trying to loosen the nut.

It's easier to do that with the wheel on and the tire on the ground...safer too.

@drainocleanser I wouldnt do that, can damage the bearings or melt the grease for the wheel bearings.

That looked a very tight one!

go go gadget hammer !!
would it make a big difference if i heated mine up with propane before doing this?
In principle it's good but do as I did in my video and use a scissor jack. Much stronger and the grooved pad at the end will centre the socket extension plus it's infinately adjustable for different hub nut configurations and hub heights. My Xantia took minimum of 350 foot pound to shift it as hub nuts always take more to shift than what was applied to fit them. Good to see Xantia videos up here.
