Lol ^^ I'm 21 and had my first one a week or so ago. One polyp removed and discovery of IBS. Worst part was DEFINITELY the prep the day before. I was sooo sedated afterwards, all dizzy and stuff.

Due to family history, like mezique01,my first colonoscopy was before 40, no polyps removed. Waited 10 years before going back for my 2nd about 5 years late, removed one polyp,clean bill of health, eat a bit more fiber and come back in 5 years, which I WILL.

The procedure, sounds awful, IS NOTHING, you get an IV and watch a terribly dull travel show of a train heading thru a very LONG PINK TUNNEL;) then find a place to eat. Drinking a GAL of crap was the worst part, EARLY PREVENTION IS KEY!!
