What Im going to tell you is dangerous,but I do it for 2 years,These technique is only for standard cars.I have to modify my brakes,with a extension in the pedal so the rud get more inside and make presure with my feet,so the car stop whithout the boster assist,(the boster even if you shut the vacuum will assist you to stop for 1to3 times,no more than that.)when you shot down the engine the steering weel will inmobilize,I desinmobilize,for me was easy I move the stick to L1 and done,remember my car is automatic,and I convert it to standart.1.shut down your engine in a red ligth.2.if you go down hill shut down your engine and let the gravity take you down.3.expert mode.if you are nearby a red ligth and you see it change shot down the engine and let inertia take you to the line.

I like your car man.I doing a test in my car shoting down the engine in the red ligths,to see how much the economy is.I recently time the red ligth stops in the rush hour,an get 14:40 minutes of waiting in a round trip inside the town.

The Smart ForTwo manual tells you to shut down the engine if you will sit parked at a traffic light for more than 10 seconds. I coast up to lights when I see them turn red all the time. :o) I was in traffic yesterday on a down hill slope and left the engine off in traffic for a long time.  :o)
