Stream of Conscience co-hosts John Hartwell and Doug Sutherland welcome toxicologist and ethics Professor David Brown to the show to discuss his work on the Southwestern Pennsylvania Environmental Health Project. Funded by the Heinz Endowments, this project seeks to study the effects of shale-gas drilling on the environment and the people of southwestern Pennsylvania. Doug Sutherland offers a Stream of Conscience Commentary on our addiction to cheap energy and our desparate search to get our next fix - regardless of the environmental and public health consequences.

Episode 29 filmed in the Cablevision public access studio in Norwalk on 12-28-2011
